World of Architecture
This modern masterpiece was owned by famed violinist Jascha Heifetz, who commissioned Lloyd Wright in 1948 to build his recording studio on what now sits the baja shelf of the infinity pool. Purchased by actor James Woods, he donated Heifetz's music studio to the Colburn School of music in downtown LA. The recording studio was reconstructed piece by piece. Overlooking Trousdale Estates in Beverly Hills and above the Sunset Strip with spectacular views from downtown to the Getty, Santa Monica, Catalina Island and Pacific Ocean, is Gilcrest.
The house is 15,000 sq/ft with 6 bedrooms, 7 baths, a 22 person home theater, and a wine room. It features a guest house & an entertainment pavilion with firepits. Developed by John Saca and designed by architect CJ Bonura of Bonura Building, this took 2 years to build. Giang Hoang was an integral member the architectural and project management team. She created the initial 3D renderings of the project. The $48M price tag includes the Italian furnishings. Andy Warhol & Picasso pieces are available for purchase.
